I'm really awful at coming up with titles for anything, and I always have been. But let's get real. This is an actual AP headline:
"Letterman is Target of the Kind of Jokes He Tells"
That is really great. It's definitely not a super-awkward, obvious statement.
Also good, but not from the AP:
"Letterman Should Have Kept it in His Worldwide Pants."
These are great, credible news sources. Keep up the good work!

Awfully good.
One of the great tragedies of my life is that I've never seen a John Waters movie. Well, sorry. It's not like we have some sort of hip video rental place around here, and I've never been able to illegally download movies (it feels weird! Can't I have morals in one area of my life?). So until I break down and buy some John Waters movies, or make friends with people who have great DVD collections, I will just admire him from afar. This interview is pretty great! You learn all about the things he hates, which include but are not limited to iceberg lettuce (offensive) and clogs. Plus, you know how Winfreys love old Letterman interviews.
I want that book.
I want that book.

All Sorts of Goodies
I know that here at The Talented Winfrey Family we like to joke around. But sometimes shit gets real! Example: some girl on my Facebook friends list joined a cause called "Tell President Obama We are Still a Christian Nation." My first thought was, "Wait, I thought causes on Facebook were supposed to be dedicated to helping sick children and puppies and the like?" And my second thought was, "What what what?" Here is the video she (and a whole lot of poeple on the Facebook group) are so pissed about:
Nope, sorry, bro! Too inclusive. Our Christian nation ain't buying whatever you're selling.
Anyway, sorry for sharing something that (while funny) is maybe a bit too infuriating. To compensate,or make things worse, here is something else that is also infuriating and hilarious! It's Norm MacDonald on the Letterman show right after he got fired from Weekend Update.

Aw man.
I like Bill Hader a lot. I think he might be one of the dudes. He seems super nice, and he is a huge nerd. If someone was like, "Name one celebrity who you want to have continued success," I'd be like, "That's easy, stupid. Bill Hader." I can't wait for House of Joel to come out, and I found this funny video of him on Letterman.

Style Blog!
A topic that Alex and I haven't discussed much on the blog is fashion. Which is weird, because we are both so stylish! Okay, to be fair, Alex kind of does dress nicely. I just dress like a 17 year old boy all the time. I know I'm no authority, but I would like to discuss one my favorite looks: cowboy.
Why more people don't dress like a modern cowboy is beyond me. It is a look that is flattering to all and pretty cheap to attain. All you need is a hat and some weird facial hair and you're done. Bonus points for a vest or boots.
My favorite example of the cowboy look (and one of my favorite writers!) is Richard Brautigan.

You'll find another good example of the cowboy look in this clip from David Letterman. It's Captain Beefheart, obvs. I really love David Letterman and his interviews. This one is so awesome. I wish people like Captain Beefheart still made music. Captain Beefheart himself has just holed up somewhere, and I don't see anyone around who's ready to become the New Beefheart.
Captain Beefheart is my new obsession. It's safe to say you'll be seeing a lot more of him around this blog. Do you know how often I am going to say, "I wish I knew who was doing that. They need a spankin'?" Pretty often.
